Start with Ctrl + Shift + Space, or choose a keyboard shortcut in Settings. Hold to record or tap to toggle.
Talk naturally
Speak in your own words. After recording, Whisper transcribes on your device in your selected language.

Finish recording, then copy your transcript or use automatic paste into your writing workflow.

The desktop app processes microphone audio locally. Your original and final transcripts are saved on your device. Optional cloud text cleanup sends the transcript to the provider you select, using your own API key and that provider's data policies.
This website stores your theme choice in your browser and loads fonts from Google Fonts. The website and download host receive standard connection information when you visit or download a file.
